Adrianna joined the Energy and Technology Policy group as a PhD candidate in May 2022. Her research focuses on public finance institutions and their role in electricity sector decarbonization, particularly in developing countries. More generally, she is interested in how energy transitions can align with development goals and how policy can be used to support structural change towards sustainable economies.
Adrianna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Development Studies from external pageMcGill Universitycall_made, a Master’s in Economic Policy and Analysis from the external pageUniversity of Pariscall_made, and a Master’s in Economic Sciences from external pageRoma Tre Universitycall_made. Working under the supervision of the external pageFrench Development Agencycall_made for her master’s thesis, she developed a quantitative model to understand the macroeconomic impacts of renewable energy investment in South Africa, with particular emphasis on issues of employment and inequality. She was awarded summa cum laude for this work.
Prior to joining EPG, Adrianna worked as a Research Associate in the external pageEconomic Researchcall_made department of the external pageRoyal Bank of Canadacall_made. She also assists non-profit environmental organizations on topics relating to climate change and finance.
In her free time, Adrianna enjoys cooking, growing mushrooms, climbing, and doing all sorts of outdoor activities.
