Abdulrasheed Isah joined the Energy and Technology Policy Group in June 2022. His PhD research focuses on the role of finance and climate pledges in achieving green economic recovery and net-zero targets, as well as the underlying economic, political, and technological forces. Prior to EPG, he was a Junior Researcher at the Center for Development Research (external pageZEFcall_made) at University of Bonn, Non-resident Fellow at the Center for Effective Global Action (external pageCEGAcall_made) at University of California, Berkeley, and Assistant Lecturer in economics at external pageNile University of Nigeriacall_made. In addition, he has experience in designing bankable renewable energy projects in developing countries. He studied economics at external pageSOAS University of Londoncall_made and external pageAhmadu Bello Universitycall_made.
He has conducted research on the role of finance and public policies in energy transition in Nigeria and Brazil, the techno-economic-environmental implications of energy policies, and the effects of weather shocks on labor market and psychological outcomes.
